Academic Advising

Academic Advising Center

The Academic Advising Center (AAC) is home to all undergraduate students, primarily serving first-year students in their transition.

The Academic Advising Center supports the University of Bridgeport’s mission in promoting academic excellence, personal responsibility and commitment to service. The AAC supports this mission by providing an open environment fostering self-exploration, self-awareness and self-evaluation, thus encouraging a sense of personal identity. Students are guided in developing an academic program consistent with their goals and natural strengths while exploring their interests, values, skills and abilities outside of the classroom. The AAC assists students in fostering the skills necessary to make informed decisions about their college career, professional prospects and personal development through one-on-one advisement, educational workshops, outreach and working collaboratively with both faculty and other campus resources.
